Cross Cultural Stories
During my year as a content editor intern with Jetset Times, I wrote several cross-cultural stories which showcased world travelers and educators.
I interviewed Allen Yeh, a professor of intercultural studies at Biola who has traveled to six continents. I wrote an article about his experiences exploring diverse cultures in Mexico, Kenya and Japan, among other countries.
I interviewed Lisa Nguyen, a university student, about her summer studying literature abroad in Spain. In the article, I included her advice about the best places to visit as well as her tips to improve mental health while adjusting to a new culture.
I interviewed Ruby Motaung, the director of TREE, a nonprofit in South Africa which supports early childhood education. I wrote an article about resources TREE offers parents and educators, including hygiene classes and a community garden.
